During this performance, a dalang, or puppeteer, will recreate the characters and events using intricate puppets that are made using traditional dluwang paper. To add to your experience, you can also try the local delicacy surabi, a pancake-like dish prepared from rice flour and coconut milk, typically served with sweet syrup or grated coconut.
